New Pattern Releases
February brought us an array of stunning knitting patterns, ranging from delicate pullovers to cozy cardigans and elegant accessories. Let’s explore some of my favorites!
Sari Nordlund’s New Releases
Sari Nordlund released two breathtaking pullover designs this month:
Apollonis Light Pullover – If you’re familiar with her Softly Timeless Knits book, you may recognize the Apollonis Pullover, which is an aran/bulky-weight pattern. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/apollonis-light-pullover Sari reworked the gauge for this new design, making it a DK-weight pullover. She used Knitting for Olive Merino and Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair, which gives it a lovely halo effect. If you’re like me and can’t wear mohair, alternative DK-weight yarns like Sandnes Garn Double Sunday or Knitting for Olive Merino held double would work well.
Meredith Grey Pullover – Yes, this one is a Grey’s Anatomy reference! It’s an intricate design featuring cables and lace, making it a real showstopper. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/meredith-grey-pullover Sari knit it in La Bien Aimée British DK, which is a beautiful two-ply yarn, perfect for lacework. If you love detailed, elegant designs, this one is for you!
Andrea Mowry’s Thru Lines Shawl
Andrea Mowry also released a new design: the Through Lines Shawl. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/thru-lines Initially, I wasn’t sure about it, but the more I saw it, the more I fell in love. It’s a fingering-weight shawl, using Brooklyn Tweed Loft and Spincycle Dyed in the Wool. It features mosaic colorwork, which means you’re only slipping stitches rather than carrying floats. This makes it an accessible yet visually striking pattern!
Aegyo Knit’s Unique Designs
Aegyo Knit introduced two really interesting pieces:
Uma Sweater – This one caught my eye because it’s a wrap-style sweater that is connected at the top, almost like a structured poncho. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/umma-sweater It has a classic, European feel with clean stockinette lines and beautiful ribbed details. its giving “Wealthy Aunt” vibes. Is this a new style genre? I hope so.
Hana Cardigan – A chunky drop-shoulder cardigan featuring toggles instead of buttons. It’s knit at an aran-weight gauge (14 stitches per 4 inches), so it works up quickly. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hana-cardigan While Aegyo Knit patterns don’t always offer a wide size range, this one covers bust sizes from 49.6 inches to 62.6 inches.
Rebecca Clow’s Kintra Sweater
Rebecca Clow of Creabea released the Kintra Sweater, a top-down circular yoke design with colorwork. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/kintra The pattern includes two gauge options—DK and fingering weight—so you get two patterns in one! She used Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt and West Yorkshire Spinners Kenross 4-ply, but you could also use sock yarn scraps for a colorful, stash-busting project.
Coco Amour Knits’ Farmhouse & Edinburgh Sweaters
Coco Amour Knits released two stunning designs:
Farmhouse Sweater – A worsted-weight, oversized pullover with textured, puffy sleeves. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/farmlands-sweater
Edinburgh Sweater – A bold black-and-cream colorwork yoke sweater, reminiscent of a harlequin pattern. It’s classic, yet striking! https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/edinburgh-sweater-2
Samantha Guerin’s Study Session Sweater
This sport-weight drop-shoulder pullover features cables, lace, and a V-neck—the perfect combination of structure and elegance. It’s knit using mYak Baby Lace held double for a soft, cozy fabric. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/study-session-sweater
Saskie & Co’s Fir Jumper
Formerly known as The Petite Knitter, Saskie & Co released the Fir Jumper, a DK-weight circular yoke sweater with colorwork. It’s knit using Sunday Morning DK by Sa Yarn Co and features an earthy, rustic aesthetic—perfect for layering. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/fir-jumper

Stephen West’s Retro Chevron Shawl
Stephen West never disappoints! His Retro Chevron Shawl is a bulky-weight chevron-patterned wrap. With an 11-stitch gauge, this one knits up fast, making it a great instant-gratification project. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/retro-chevron-shawl
Stone Knits’ Dream Home Sock Set
Charlotte from Stone Knits released an adorable colorwork sock pattern that features a charming multistory house motif—perfect for using up scrap yarn!
Knitters & Friends’ Luna Mini Skirt
A stylish retro-inspired DK-weight skirt, the Luna Mini Skirt is a modern twist on vintage fashion. Knit in Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt, it’s perfect paired with tights for a cozy, stylish look. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/louna-miniskirt
